Description:

Interested in building a new Secondary Suite (in a new home or an existing home), or building a new Garage or Garden Suite? You may be eligible for up to $20,000 in funding through Cornerstones II: Edmonton’s Plan for Affordable Housing 2012 – 2016.

Steps to Get this Rebate:

1. You must complete the application form for the type of suite you want to build and submit the documentation listed on the application form.

2. In addition, applicable Heating, Plumbing and Gas and Electrical permit charges will apply. A Sanitary Sewer Trunk Charge also applies.
3. Visit Residential Licenses & Permits: Additions and Improvements for current permit fees.
4. You can also visit the Edmonton Service Centre, 2nd Floor, 10111 104 Avenue NW, Edmonton, between 8am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday for assistance in filling out the required permit application forms, or contact 311 and ask for a Development Technical Advisor or Building Technical Advisor.
