Quebec Gazmetro Hot Water Boiler Grants

Amount:

up to $2,000

Who is Eligible:

Gaz Métro Customers

Description:

Gaz Métro offers homeowners grants towards the purchase of their heating systems. Grants include:
-$1,200 for the purchase and installation of a natural gas boiler, no matter which type of appliance chosen
-$2,000 toward converting an oil-fired system to a new natural gas one
-An additional grant of $900 to encourage customers to adopt energy-wise lifestyles. This amount helps reduce the difference between the cost of a high-performance appliance and the cost of a standard boiler

Steps to Get this Rebate:

1. Your residence must be located near the underground natural gas network to be able to be connected.
2.Even if your home seems to be close to the gas network (step #1), you have to confirm this with our Customer service at 1 800 875-6202, making sure you do so BEFORE making any purchases or planning any projects. Only a Gaz Métro employee can confirm that you indeed have access to the network.
3. Meet with an authorized partner
-Once service availability is confirmed, we will arrange to meet with you to get an idea of your installation needs and your possible options for new appliances and technology. This meeting entails no cost or commitment and is conducted by a Gaz Métro Authorized Partner.
4. Once you have accepted the project proposal, Gaz Métro will proceed with connecting your residence to the underground gas network.
5. After your residence is connected to Gaz Métro’s network, the Authorized Partner will proceed with the installation of the natural gas piping system and your new appliances and then conduct a leak test. After that, a technician from Gaz Métro will activate the meter and ensure that the new installations are safe and in accordance with standards. The Authorized Partner will then proceed to light the appliances and explain how they work.

When the Rebate Ends:
