Nova Scotia R-2000 Home Program

Amount:

Who is Eligible:

Homeowners

Description:

Nova Scotia Home Builders provide consumers with opportunities to fully consider the benefits provided by an R-2000 home in order to answer is it worth it.

R-2000 homes are conceivably the most energy-efficient, environmentally responsible homes available today. Every R-2000 home is designed, built, tested and certified to meet exacting technical standards that exceed current Canadian building codes.

R-2000 homes can only be constructed by specially trained builders. These builders are typically the best in their field, so it usually means the house is not only energy-efficient, but better-built as well. An R-2000 home can cut your energy bills by as much as 50 percent over a conventionally built house. High levels of insulation and careful sealing of exterior walls keep you warm. An advanced heat recovery ventilation system (HRV) system helps keep heating costs down while ensuring superior indoor air quality and year-round comfort.
