Newfoundland Power High-Performance Thermostat Rebate

Who Is Eligible

All Homeowners

Description:

Save money and make your home more comfortable. Get back $10 for every programmable thermostat you install, and $5 for each electronic thermostat.

Electronic and programmable thermostats are more accurate than dial thermostats, which can throw off the temperature by as much as five degrees up or down.

Once your thermostats are installed you can apply online or by mail. Your rebate will be applied as a credit on your electricity bill.

Your primary source of heat must be electric. If an additional heating source is used your home must have a minimum annual electricity usage of 15,000 kilowatt hours (kWh).

Steps to Get This Rebate:

  • Upload or mail a copy of your purchase receipt with your application.
  • Allow up to eight weeks for processing.
  • Newfoundland Power and Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro may visit your home and confirm the thermostat installation at any time within 15 months from when the rebate was processed.
