Who is Eligible:
If you are eligible for this exemption, you do not have to pay the real property transfer tax on the registration of your deed of conveyance.
Steps to Get this Rebate:
1. At the time of registering a deed of conveyance, all purchasers must attached a completed Affidavit of Purchaser form and forward the documents to the Registry Office. The transfer tax due will be based on the information contained in the Affidavit of Purchaser. Where neither the purchase price nor the assessed value of the property exceeds $30,000, no transfer tax is payable.
2. You must make an oath on the form indicating the consideration paid for the real property at the time of registration.
