Hydro-Québec Residential Rate DT

Who is Eligible:

Hydro-Québec customers

Description:

This program helps the customers to decrease in Rate DT electricity prices for using the following Dual-energy forced-air systems:
-Dual-energy forced-air system combined with a central heat pump
-Fuel-burning forced-air system combined with a central heat pump
-Fuel-burning forced-air system combined with electric heating elements
-Dual-energy forced-air (with radiators, for example), combining a fuel-burning boiler and electric boiler (boilers are often called furnaces)

Steps to Get this Rebate:

1. First ask a heating contractor to check that your dual-energy system complies with the provisions of the Electricity Rates concerning dual energy and Rate DT.
2. Then have the contractor fill out a Certificate of eligibility – Dual Energy form.
3.Sign the certificate of eligibility to confirm that you would like to sign up for Rate DT and send it to the address shown on the form.
Note: You will have to pay for an inspection of your dual-energy system, making it qualify for Rate DT, if necessary, and the installation of the indicator light, supplied free of charge by Hydro-Québec, which will tell you when the higher price applies.
