Description:
As part of the GEERS program, Guelph homeowners will be encouraged to make energy efficiency improvements to their homes. Participating homeowners will work with a contractor of their choice to make any number of possible retrofits. The upfront costs of the retrofits are paid through the pilot program, making the investment affordable for most homeowners. Homeowners then repay these costs over a period of up to 25-years at low interest rates through special monthly charges which are collected via their tax bill.
