City of Winnipeg Heritage Conservation Tax Credit Program

Who is Eligible:

Owners or long term tenants

Description:

The value of an approved tax credit may be up to 50% of the net private investment made in eligible work. The credit may be used at a recipient’s discretion over a maximum 10-year period to reduce qualifying property, business, and amusement taxes levied by the City.

Steps to Get this Rebate:

1. Application forms are available through the office of the Heritage Planner.
2. Applicants may wish to consult with the Heritage Planner prior to their submission of application
for guidance and assistance.
3. Completed application forms, including other required information, are to be submitted to the
office of the Heritage Planner.
4. A checklist accompanies each application to help with preparing and submitting a complete
application. Please ensure that all requirements listed in the grant categories are complete and
accurate. Incomplete or inaccurate applications will be returned. Groups involved in joint projects
are encouraged to submit a single application.
