City of Barrie Toilet Rebate Program

Amount:

up to $50.00

Who is Eligible:

Owners of residences located within the City of Barrie limits

Description:

This program will provide water bill credits in the amount of $50.00 as an incentive for residents to replace high flow toilets with low flow toilets (6 litres or less).

Steps to Get this Rebate:

1. The applicant will be required to sign a form indicating that he/she has replaced a high flow fixture with a low flow fixture and has disposed of the old toilet at the City of Barrie’s landfill (all fees are to be paid by the applicant at the time of disposal).
2. In order to receive a rebate you will be required to provide:
a.A completed Toilet Rebate Application Form (available on the 3rd Floor, City Hall);
b.A receipt for the purchase of a new low flow toilet (6 litres or less);
c.Picture ID (Driver’s License); and
d. Proof of Ownership (tax bill) for the property where the toilet is being installed.
3.Once all documentation is received and verified, a copy of the Toilet Rebate Application will be
processed for a credit on your water bill and a copy will be provided for your records.
