I am a single mother working part-time and have a semi-detached house with a bachelor apartment below the second floor. I have an elderly tenant with a disability and have to replace the roof shingles on that side of the house, as well as build a ramp to accomodate her motorized scooter, as well as concrete the (gravel) driveway, also to accomodate her scooter. Would I qualify for any type of grant for these renovations?
Thank you

Can you get a rebate for replacing your roof shingles, concreting your drive way and replacing your lawn with artificial grass (reduces carbon footprint, no lawn mower)? If you can can you direct me to the right site to apply for them?

Thanx.

On the home renovation grant I would like to know if the outer brick wall of my 2 story house
could be repaired. This is a home built in 1985 or before, and the outer layer of bricks are
breaking, and the inside walls along that side are soft and the drywall is mushy. This needs
some of the outer bricks replaced, and then the basement floor would not be damp all during
spring summer and fall. So, there is actually 2 problems in one. I am a senior and cannot do
any of this work any more. Also my income does not provide this kind of expense...The house
next door has a roof that hangs overtop of mine, and how can I find out if this is illegal - if you say a survey is needed? I can't afford that - but you may know of some way I could find
out that answer from the city? I thank you so much if you can help me with this dilemma.
