Strathcona County Rebates for Green Homes

Rebate Amount: Up to 30% of the cost of a building permit

Description: Homebuilders who achieve R-2000 or Built Green certification are eligible for a partial rebate on the cost of the building permit for the home.

The value of the rebate depends on the level of certification achieved. There are four categories of eligibility:
  • 30% rebate for R-2000 Certification
  • 30% rebate for Built Green Gold Certification
  • 20% rebate for Built Green Silver Certification
  • 10% rebate for Built Green Bronze Certification.

Steps to Get This Rebate:

  1. Upon meeting all permit and inspection requirements, rebates are issued to the building permit applicant.
