    Good morning,

I am having a hard time finding out if we would qualify or even go about getting a grant or a forgiveable loan. My husband and I bought a older home of approx. 50 years old and the windows need to be updated, the chimney needs replacing and siding is required as the wood slats are slowly falling off. Both me and my husband work although with looking after 2 children we are still finding it hard to save money for this renovations. If someone would please help me find what I am looking for it would be greatly appreciated.

i was wondering if there are any grants for removal and installation of new insulation in the home i will purchase. The home iam thinking of buying has vermiculite in the attic, and i know it is very expensive to have it removed, so my question is does the government have a program or a grant to help remove this hazardous insulation, i have read the reports back in the 70′s and 80′s when the government was giving grants to install this harmful stuff in your home, now does the government have a grant to fix this problem…if so where do i look for this? And if not, can you explain why not?

I was just wondering if there is a grant that could help us replace the drafty windows our home. We just bought it in November. My husband works and supports myself and our child. We are on a tight budget, but are wasting a lot of money on heating! The windows are 36 years old. Also, we need to replace the weeping bed and possibly the septic tank. Are there any grants or forgivable loans for that?

What I did is use a company that has a NO INTEREST loan so each month they take out 100 for 33 months for 3000 dollars worth of work, the company works out of Ontario
