Description:
On top of the long-term cost savings of a Blue Built Home, the City of Guelph is providing a one-time rebate on your investment. After you’ve made the decision with your home builder to purchase a Blue Built Home, and you have submitted proof of purchase of your ENERGY STAR®-qualified washing machine, you will receive a Blue Built Home Water Efficiency Standard Certificate. At this time you may also be eligible for a rebate cheque of up to $2,420 (based on a home built with 2.5 baths, a main floor laundry and built to the Blue Built Home Gold water efficiency standard with a rainwater harvesting system). Each home’s rebate is calculated based on the number of water efficient toilets in the home, in addition to the other water saving systems, as submitted by your home builder.
