Rebate Amount: Up to $2,000 per home

Description: Get up to $2,000 when you convert to a natural gas furnace and water heater ($1,500 for the furnace; $500 for the water heater). Note that all conversions must use ENERGY STAR rated equipment.

Steps to Get This Rebate:

  1. Complete the rebate application form
  2. Mail or fax the form, along with a copy of the invoice for all of the work complete, to:

  1. Heritage Gas will confirm the installation of the qualifying equipment, and send you the rebate.

    You should definitely look into the Nova Scotia Residential/Commercial Energy Conversion Program, which includes homeowners in Lunenburg County. You can get up to $2,000 for converting your wood/oil furnace to natural gas. The program ends on March 31st, 2008.

    Follow the steps on this page to apply for the rebate.

    Are there any rebates for energy efficient boilers installed in July 2008? I seen the rebate for boilers installed September 2008… doesn’t seem fair really….especially where it wasn’t even used until September! LOL
