Description: Get a $2000 rebate on the installation of a high-efficiency furnace if you are a low-income household that has qualified for assistance through the Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP). Households must be within the City of Edmonton. The RRAP is a federal program that offers financial assistance to low-income households who own and occupy substandard housing to enable them to repair their dwellings to a minimum level of health and safety.

Steps to Get This Rebate:

  1. (If you aren't already registered with the RRAP) Contact the City of Edmonton Housing RRAP Coordinator at 780-496-6030.
  2. Replace your furnace with an ENERGY STAR qualified furnace (that has a 92.0% annual fuel utilization efficiency or better, with a DC variable-speed motor
  3. Your RRAP Officer (with City of Edmonton Housing) will forward the required paperwork if you qualify for a rebate.
  4. A rebate cheque will be mailed directly to the address given in the application submitted by your RRAP Officer.
