Comments on: Cool Savings Rebate Program

We had our new furnace and air conditioner installed weeks ago and have since sent in our paper work. Our paper work was approved on April 21st, 2011. We were to receive our rebate within six weeks. Now I’ve called and am told due to back logs I am not to expect it less than 12 weeks from the approval date. Has anyone else been lied to about the amount of time to receive the rebate? Also, i read above that a themostate qualifies for $50.00 but was told by by installer that it does not.

I am replacing an existing furnace by Clean Air Furnace (refer to http://www.lifebreath.com/en/consumer/products/residential/caf). Am I eligible for a $250 rebate mentioned above? Thanks.

We replaced our electric heating system with a high efficiency propane furnace, do we qualify for the rebate even though our licensed contractor is not a member of the program?

Hello Florence -

Based on the work you’ve done, I would say you definitely qualify for a rebate. However, you would have needed to do a pre-renovation home energy audit.

i had four new windows installed in september 2008
also a new kitchen window installed in march,2009 and a mid
efficency furnace installed march 2009, do i qualify for
a rebate on any of these things

If we installed a new air conditioing unit and thermostat in June 2008, could we stilll apply fpr the gov’t grant and do they also apply to putting in a new out door wood fire furnace
and water jack to heat floors and water heater??

Plase let me know what we can do. Wood furnace has not been installed yet.
