Rebate Amount: Up to $5,000

Description:
Get a government rebate up to $5,000 when you have an energy evaluation done and make energy efficiency improvements to your home.

Steps to Get This Rebate:

Have an ecoENERGY Retrofit energy evaluation done. This evaluation must be done by an accredited energy advisor. Find an advisor in your area here.
Once you receive the energy evaluation report, look at the rebate guide to see how much money you can get back for the recommended home improvements.
Do the home improvements.
Get another energy evaluation done, to see how much more energy efficient your house is.
The energy advisor will send your final energy evaluation to Natural Resources Canada (the government department that runs the ecoENERGY Retrofit program).
Natural Resources Canada will send you a rebate cheque.

Description:
Get a rebate when you upgrade to a high-efficiency ENERGY STAR natural gas heating system.

Steps to Get This Rebate:

Apply for natural gas service, if you don’t already have it. Call toll free 1-888-224-2710.

Applications for natural gas service must be received by October 31, 2007 to be eligible for the offer. Service must be activated and the furnace/boiler installation completed by December 31, 2007.

Have a BC Safety Authority registered gas contractor install your ENERGY STAR system. Contractors can be found here.
Submit application form. Include with the application form:
- Installation invoice(s)
- Copy of gas permit
Receive a $300 rebate on your Terasen Gas bill.

When the Rebate Ends:

December 31, 2007. Applications must be received by January 31st, 2008

Toilet Replacement Rebate Program

Rebate Amount: $100

Description:
Get a rebate of $100 for each toilet replaced with a new ultra low flow model, up to a maximum of two toilets per residential dwelling.

Conditions:

The toilet must have been purchased and installed after July 29, 2004
The rebate does not apply to Metered customers
Qualifying toilet must have a flushing capacity greater than 13 litres

Steps to Get This Rebate:

Fill out the application form.
Application forms must include:

Detailed receipt, dated after July 29, 2004, for purchase of low flow toilet.
Photo of old toilet in place.
Photo of old toilet removed with tank broken.
Photo of new toilet in place.

Drop off or mail the application to Engineering and Public Works, Customer Service, 3000 Guildford Way, Coquitlam, B.C., V3B 7N2.
The application will be forwarded to the City’s Water Conservation Coordinator for review.
The Water Conservation Coordinator will determine if the application is in conformance and will authorize payment to the applicant by cheque requisition. The cheque will be sent to the applicant via Canada Post.

Description:
Get a $200 cash rebate when you replace your old toilets (flush volume of 13 litres or more) with new qualifying six-litre low-flush toilets.

The 6 litre rebate program provides $200 cash for older, 13+ litre flush toilets when they are replaced by one of the following brands of CSA approved 6 litre toilets:American Standard, Briggs, Caroma, Corona, Crane, Eljer, Gerber, Kohler, Mansfield, Niagara, Toto, Western Pottery. Qualifying homeowners must:

Be a residential paying water customer of the SCRD
Be replacing an older minimum 13+ litre toilet
Return the replaced toilet to the SCRD for recycling. You will be issued a “Toilet Drop Off” ticket for the Sechelt Landfill. Drop the toilet off at the landfill free of charge.
Provide the original, dated receipt of the new 6 litre toilet purchase, and ensure that the bill indicates the type of toilet and method of payment and is stamped “paid”
Allow SCRD staff to inspect all installations (max. 2 rebates per dwelling)
