Installations through a tax credit that increased as of April 13, 2011 and through Provincial Grants that were enhanced as of July 1, 2011 as outlined below:

Existing & New Homes: Manitobans can now receive up to approximately $5,000 of incentives from the Province of Manitoba including a Green Energy Equipment Tax Credit worth about $2,400 and a $2,600 Grant for homes in natural gas service areas.

Commercial Buildings: Owners eligible to receive up to 15 per cent of the value of their installed geothermal systems.

District / Community Geothermal Systems that serve several buildings are eligible for a Provincial Grant up to a maximum of $150,000; and can also receive refundable tax credits up to 15%.

Manitobaheat pump manufacturers can receive up to 7.5 per cent of the price for qualifying heat pumps made and sold for use in the province.

Make your energy projects more affordable with our incentive programs.

• Assessment and Engineering Analysis Incentives:

We’ll cover half the cost of a comprehensive energy assessment, up to $10,000*.

• Implementation Incentives:

Receive up to $100,000* per project to help you implement energy-saving measures. If you implement measures, you could receive $0.08per m³ of natural gas saved in the first year after installation. Your project must have a simple payback of at least one year to qualify, and no longer than a 5 year simple payback.

Description of Program

An ozone laundry system is a piece of equipment that is added on to your existing commercial washing machine(s).

The system generates ozone (O3), a naturally occurring molecule, which helps clean fabrics by chemically reacting with soils in the water.

Because it works with cold water, an ozone laundry system will reduce the amount of hot water needed and therefore reduce your natural gas costs.

An ozone system also reduces the total amount of water consumed saving you even more energy.

You could qualify for $1000′s in incentives by installing an ozone laundry system in your facility. Complete and sign the Application Form and send it along with proof of purchase.

Description of Program

You could receive an audit incentive of up to $5,000 per building or $15,000 for a group of buildings from the commercial audit program.

Each facility must consume a minimum of 150,000 m³ of natural gas per year to qualify for an audit incentive (unless otherwise approved).
